Recording slides in powerpoint for mac 16.12 high sierra op system I am trying to record sessions using the new feature which allows me to build slides while recording which the old versions didn't. However, many times it looks like there's a recording there but none has been saved. Sep 14, 2018 CPU is very low workload (but QuickTime is working). The CPU is W3690 (as per my signature), and definitely not capable to doing any HEVC 10 bit high bitrate decoding in both software and hardware method. GPU is the Apple recommended (for Mac Pro 5,1), Sapphire PULSE RX580 8GB. Which has reasonable workload when decoding the video.

HEVC supports larger frame sizes and HDR10 metadata for High Dynamic Range (HDR) video. You can view HEVC files on recent generation Apple devices running macOS High Sierra, iOS 11, or tvOS 11. With Compressor 4.4, you can encode your Final Cut Pro or Motion projects with HEVC.*
- To use a built-in setting to encode your file with HEVC, choose Window > Show Settings and Locations, then click next to Apple Devices in the list. Drag one of the HEVC settings onto the file in the batch area.
- To change the codec on a non-HEVC setting, select the setting in the batch area, then choose Window > Inspector. Click Video in the inspector, then under Video Properties, select HEVC.
